About Shelley

Shelley Maurice-Maier, PA-C, began her medical career in 1983 as a board certified Physician's Assistant in family medicine - with special interests in women's health, chronic illness, pain control, childhood abuse, grief counseling, anxiety and depression. After a miraculous healing in 1994, Shelley devoted her practice entirely to mind-health counseling. The Oregon Board of Medical Examiners has since extended her medical practice description to include "insight behavioral psychotherapist".

Shelley is now a full-time Christian counselor who also teaches 'Beacon of Hope' workshops through the High Desert Christian College - HDCC in Bend, OR. The classes are based on her book 'The Sampler: 10 Life-Enhancing Concepts Right At Your Fingertips

She now lives with her husband Dr. Kenneth Maier in Bend, OR.
